What this Amazon fee calculator shows

Every Amazon sale carries two selling fees before you see a cent. The referral fee is Amazon's commission: a percentage of the item price that varies by category — around 15% for most categories, 8% for consumer electronics, and up to 17% or more for a few others — with a minimum of $0.30 per item. On top of that, sellers on the Individual plan pay $0.99 for every item sold, while Professional plan sellers pay a flat monthly subscription instead and skip the per-item charge. This calculator applies both fees to your price, then subtracts your product and shipping costs to reveal your real profit and margin per sale.

Which referral fee percentage should I use?
It depends on your category. Most categories sit at 15%, but rates range from roughly 8% to over 17%. Look up your category in Amazon's current fee schedule and type that percentage into the calculator.
Does this include FBA fulfillment fees?
No. This tool covers referral and selling-plan fees. If you use Fulfillment by Amazon, add your estimated FBA pick-and-pack and storage fees into the "shipping & other costs" field so your profit stays accurate.
When is the Professional plan worth it?
As a rule of thumb, once you sell more than about 40 items a month, the flat subscription costs less than paying $0.99 per item — and it unlocks extra selling features.
