FAQ

Should tax apply to the fees?: It depends on the location. Many cities tax only the room rate, while others tax resort and amenity fees as well. Check your booking confirmation — if fees are listed above the tax line, they are usually taxed. The toggle lets you model it either way.
What counts as a per-night fee versus a one-time fee?: Resort fees, destination fees, and nightly parking are charged for every night of the stay, per room. Cleaning fees, pet fees, or early check-in charges are usually billed once — put those in the one-time field.
Can I split by room instead of by person?: Yes. The Per room result divides the full trip total (including tax and fees) evenly across rooms, which works well when each room covers its own share.
Is my data stored anywhere?: No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — nothing you enter ever leaves your device.
