What Markdown to HTML is for

Put a link as [text](https://example.com) and you get a real anchor tag. Blank lines separate paragraphs, so remember to leave one between blocks or they'll merge.

Yes. Use pipes and dashes for tables, and fence code with triple backticks. Both convert to standard <table> and <pre><code> markup.
Why did my two lines merge into one paragraph?
Markdown treats a single line break as a soft wrap. Leave a completely blank line between blocks, or end a line with two spaces to force a line break.
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. The conversion happens entirely inside your browser, so your writing never leaves your device.
