Split PDF
Need just a few pages, or one file per page? Split your PDF however you like.
๐ How it works & FAQWhat splitting a PDF is for
A single PDF often holds more than you want to send. Maybe a 40-page bank statement PDF has the two pages your landlord asked for, or a scanned contract bundle mixes three separate documents into one file. Splitting lets you pull out exactly the pages you need, or break a big file into individual pages, without printing and re-scanning or buying desktop software.
When you'd reach for it
Common cases: emailing pages 5–7 of a report instead of the whole thing, separating a merged batch of receipts back into one file per receipt, removing a cover sheet before uploading a form, or handing a designer just the one page they need to edit. Because this tool keeps the original page content untouched, text stays selectable and image quality is unchanged — it copies pages rather than re-rendering them, so nothing gets blurry.
Two ways to split
You can extract a page range (say 3–9) into a single new PDF, or choose one file per page, which gives you back a ZIP containing a separate PDF for every page. The range option is best when you want a clean excerpt; the per-page option is handy for archiving or when each page is really its own document.
How to use it
- Drag your PDF onto the page (or click to browse and pick it). It loads instantly and shows the total page count.
- Choose your mode: enter a range like
3-9to extract those pages, or select split into one file per page. - Click the split button. The tool builds your new file(s) right in the browser.
- Download the result — a single PDF for a range, or a ZIP of individual PDFs for the per-page split.
FAQ
- Are my files uploaded anywhere?
- No. The PDF is opened and processed entirely inside your browser tab, so nothing leaves your device. This matters for statements, contracts, and medical or legal paperwork.
- What page numbers should I enter?
- Use the page numbers as they appear in the document, starting at 1. A range like
1-1extracts just the first page; the last valid number is the total page count shown after loading. - Will splitting shrink or blur the text?
- No. Pages are copied as-is, so fonts stay selectable and images keep their original resolution. File size roughly matches the pages you kept.
- Is it free?
- Yes, it's free and ad-supported, with no sign-up and no watermark added to your files.
