Resize PDF to A4 or Letter
Fit every page of your PDF neatly onto a standard A4 or US Letter page β centered and scaled, right here in your browser.
π How it works & FAQPick a PDF, choose the page size, and download a copy where every page is scaled to fit β centered β on the size you chose. Your file never leaves this device.
Give every page one consistent size
PDFs often end up as a jumble of page dimensions β a scanned receipt here, a letter-sized export there, an odd label in between. That makes printing and binding messy. This tool takes each page of your PDF and places it, scaled to fit and centered, onto a clean A4 or US Letter sheet. Nothing is cropped: the whole page is shrunk (or enlarged) proportionally so it fits inside the new size, with an optional margin around the edge.
A4 vs. Letter β which should I pick?
A4 (595 Γ 842 points, or 210 Γ 297 mm) is the standard almost everywhere outside North America. US Letter (612 Γ 792 points, or 8.5 Γ 11 inches) is standard in the United States and Canada. If you are printing at home or sending a document to someone in a specific region, match their local paper size so the printer does not rescale or clip your pages again.

FAQ
- Is my file uploaded anywhere?
- No. Everything runs in your browser using pdf-lib. Your PDF never leaves your device.
- Will my content get cut off?
- No. Each page is scaled to fit entirely inside the new size and centered, so nothing is cropped β you may just see whitespace on the sides.
- Does it keep text selectable?
- Yes. Pages are embedded as vector content, so real text and graphics stay crisp and selectable rather than being flattened to an image.
- What is a "point"?
- A point is 1/72 of an inch β the native unit PDFs use. A4 is 595 Γ 842 points and Letter is 612 Γ 792 points.
