Rotate PDF
Fix sideways or upside-down pages in seconds — everything happens right here in your browser.
📖 How it works & FAQWhat this tool does
Rotate PDF turns pages that scanned in sideways or came out upside down. Pick 90°, 180°, or 270° and apply it to every page or only the ones you name. The rotation is baked into the file's page settings, so the new orientation sticks in any PDF reader, on any device, and when you print.
Private by design
Your PDF never leaves your computer. It is read into your browser's memory, rotated with the pdf-lib library that runs entirely on this page, and handed straight back to you as a download. There is no upload, no server, and no copy kept anywhere — close the tab and it's gone.
How to use it
- Click the file box and choose the PDF you want to fix.
- Pick how far to turn it: 90° clockwise, 180°, or 270°.
- Leave the pages box blank to rotate the whole document, or type the pages you want — for example 1,3,5-8.
- Press Rotate PDF. The corrected file downloads automatically.
FAQ
- Can I rotate only some pages?
- Yes. Type individual pages and ranges separated by commas, like 2,4,6-9. Any pages you don't list are left exactly as they are.
- Which direction is 90 degrees?
- 90° turns pages a quarter-turn clockwise (to the right). 270° is the same as a quarter-turn counter-clockwise, and 180° flips a page upside down.
- Does rotating reduce quality or re-compress the file?
- No. The tool only changes each page's rotation flag — the text, images, and fonts are untouched, so there is no loss of quality.
- Why won't my PDF open here?
- Password-protected or encrypted PDFs can't be modified until they're unlocked. Remove the password first, then rotate.
