How StockX seller fees work
When your ask sells on StockX, two charges come out before the money reaches you. The transaction fee is tiered by seller level: new sellers start at Level 1 paying roughly 9% of the sale price, and the rate steps down toward about 7% as you complete more sales and climb to Level 5. On top of that, a payment processing fee of about 3% is applied to the same sale price. Some regions also see a flat shipping or handling charge, which you can add in the shipping / other fees box. Your net payout is the sale price minus all of that, and your profit is the payout minus whatever you paid for the item in the first place.
Why every rate is editable
Fee figures here are approximate defaults you can edit โ StockX adjusts its schedule, runs seller promotions, and charges different rates by level and region, so always check the platform&s current fee page and treat these numbers as estimates only, not financial advice. Picking a seller level fills in the matching transaction rate for you, but you can type any percentage over it to mirror your own sale summary exactly. Everything runs in your browser; nothing you enter is uploaded anywhere.

FAQ
- How do I lower my StockX transaction fee?
- Sell more. StockX seller levels are based on completed sales and sales volume over a rolling window, and each level shaves the transaction rate โ from about 9% at Level 1 down to roughly 7% at the top tier.
- Is the net payout my profit?
- No โ it is what StockX transfers before your own costs. This calculator subtracts your item cost for you, but remember packaging, mileage, and taxes come out of that too.
- Does StockX charge me for shipping?
- It depends on your region and category. US sneaker sellers typically get a prepaid label, while some regions and product types carry a flat seller shipping fee โ add it in the other fees box if yours does.
- Why is my real payout slightly different?
- Rounding, currency conversion, regional processing rates, and temporary fee promotions all nudge the final number. Match the fee inputs to your latest StockX sale summary for the closest estimate.
