What this TikTok ads calculator does

This tool models the full TikTok ad funnel in one pass: budget โ†’ impressions โ†’ clicks โ†’ conversions โ†’ revenue. Choose a CPM basis and it divides your budget by cost per 1,000 impressions, then applies your click-through rate to get clicks. Choose CPC and it divides budget by cost per click directly, back-calculating impressions from your CTR. Your landing page conversion rate turns clicks into orders, and average order value turns orders into revenue. From there it reports ROAS (revenue รท ad spend) and CPA (ad spend รท conversions), plus effective CPM and CPC so you can sanity-check both directions.

The CPM, CPC, CTR and conversion-rate figures are approximate defaults you can edit โ€” TikTok auction prices move constantly, so check your own Ads Manager for current rates. These are estimates only, not financial advice.

How to use it

  1. Enter the total ad budget you plan to spend on the campaign.
  2. Pick your bidding basis: CPM if you think in impression costs, CPC if you know your cost per click.
  3. Set the CPM or CPC. TikTok CPMs commonly land around $5โ€“$15; CPCs around $0.50โ€“$2.
  4. Enter your expected click-through rate and landing page conversion rate โ€” pull real numbers from past campaigns if you have them.
  5. Add your average order value and read the live results: if ROAS is below 1.00ร—, the modeled campaign loses money before product costs.

FAQ

What is a good ROAS for TikTok ads?
It depends on your margins. A 2.0ร— ROAS is a common working target for e-commerce, but if your product margin is 50%, you need at least 2.0ร— just to break even on ad spend โ€” aim higher to actually profit.
Should I use CPM or CPC mode?
Use whichever number you trust. TikTok mostly bills on impressions, so CPM matches how the auction charges; CPC mode is handy when you only know what a click has been costing you.
Why is my real ROAS different from the estimate?
Live campaigns vary by creative, audience, season and attribution window. Treat this as a planning model โ€” update the inputs with real campaign data as it comes in.
Is my data uploaded anywhere?
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser; nothing you type is sent to a server.
