Temperature is the tricky one โ it isn't a simple multiply. Water freezes at 0 °C / 32 °F and boils at 100 °C / 212 °F, so the tool applies the offset for you instead of just scaling the number.
A quick worked example
Say a shipping box is listed as 45 cm long and you need inches. There are 2.54 cm in an inch, so 45 ÷ 2.54 ≈ 17.7 inches. For volume, 1 US cup ≈ 237 ml, so a 500 ml bottle is a little over two cups. A good tip: the US fluid ounce and the UK (imperial) fluid ounce are slightly different sizes, so double-check which system a recipe means before you trust a volume result.

- Why doesn't temperature convert like the other units?
- Because Celsius and Fahrenheit don't share a zero point. The tool uses the real formula (°F = °C × 9/5 + 32) rather than a single multiplier, so cold and hot temperatures both come out right.

- Values are shown to a sensible number of decimals for everyday use. For engineering or lab work where exact precision matters, treat the display as a close estimate and verify critical figures.
